Introducing the NHV Series

Visualize network environment peace of mind with PATLITE's new line of network signal towers with voice annunciator, the NHV Series. PATLITE's NHV Signal Towers monitor your network system and send real-time alerts via visual signals, audible alarms, and even email notifications. The NHV Series consists of four cutting-edge models - the NHV, NHV-D, NHV-DP and the NHM - and all come equipped with numerous standard features, including cloud control, audio playback, text-to-speech (TTS) and more. The NHV Series is ideal for reliable audible and visual signaling for any factory configuration.

Audio Playback
If you're looking for clear and reliable audio playback, the NHV Series has no shortage of options for audible signaling. In a first for a PATLITE product, all NHV models come standard with text-to-speech capabilities via MP3 Playback that converts text data to voice.

In addition, since the voice synthesis engine is built into the main unit, voice conversion can occur even when offline (not connected to the internet) - perfect for emergencies and
network-free configurations.

The MP3 playback function enables notifications with custom voice messages.

A Myriad of Standard Features
Aside from the impressive standard audible offerings in the new NHV Series, a plethora of other standard features are offered with each model.

The NHV Series offers four brightness settings to set the appropriate light intensity for your situation.

Ping monitoring for monitoring other devices on the network. Get notified if anything goes offline with MP3 messages or email notifications.

Differences in Models
In an effort to offer the most diverse line of products possible, the NHV Series, while sharing many convenient features among all four models, also has differences in models. In fact, aside from the base NHV model, there are many differences among the remaining three models.

For example, the NHV-D has all of the capabilities of the NHV model plus four digital inputs and two digital outputs. Similarly, the NHV-DP is an NHV-D plus PoE power capability. It can be used in areas where it is difficult to secure a power supply or to facilitate network camera connection. With the benefit of PoE, there is no more need for input and output modules for PLCs or running wires.

Lastly, the NHV-M has mail-detection integration and will light up or play a message when emails that meet preset conditions are received. No PC is required as the NHV-M accesses the server directly, so no modification is needed to the existing system. It is compatible with "OAuth2.0*" and "password authentication."

Application Examples

Application Example #1
A manufacturing warehouse has installed a new network camera configuration in their factory to monitor their equipment and for general security purposes. This type of camera setup requires an operator to physically arrive on-site to troubleshoot in the event the cameras freeze and a restart is required. By equipping PATLITE’s new NHV Series network towers, the warehouse can automatically restart the camera by utilizing the remote power controller used to monitor the port. If the camera cannot restart automatically, the NHV Series can also alert you of this activity via visual and email notifications. Additionally, you can send voice commands remotely to the NHV to audibly alert workers of equipment downtime, personnel arrival and other unique commands via MP3 Playback. With PATLITE’s NHV Series Network Signal Tower with Voice Annunciator, you can confidently use network cameras.

Application Example #2
FA call center wants to reduce periods where callers experience long call wait times by efficiently notifying workers of standby calls in real time because their current configuration does.

By indicating the operator’s call status with the NHV Series, administrators can monitor each situation remotely and in real-time, thus, in practice, reducing call long call wait times for its customers. Moreover, administrators can send user-specific voice commands to the call center to alert workers with a "Text to Speech (TTS)" function that converts text data to voice, standard on all NHV Series models. This function makes it easy for the call center to create voice messages, or text can be automatically read aloud by typing text in the command. From email alerts to remote notifications and more, a busy call center can notify its personnel of call volume spikes by implementing PATLITE’s new NHV Series Network Signal Tower with Voice Annunciator.

This Month at PATLITE

Starting this month and for future newsletters, we will be spotlighting key events that took place at PATLITE U.S.A. during the past month. For October 2022, PATLITE U.S.A. attended and exhibited at PACK Expo International 2022 in Chicago in what was our last trade show event of the year.

PACK Expo International 2022 was eventful for PATLITE U.S.A. in many ways: it was filled with a great turnaround, valuable customer insight and, uniquely, assisting a regional high school for the first-ever student packaging challenge, the PACK Challenge.

The PACK Challenge took place during PACK Expo International 2022 in the West building that brought together six high school teams for a machine-building challenge to benefit the future of the packaging industry. PATLITE U.S.A. collaborated with and donated one of our LR5 signal towers to the Wisconsin-based high school, Waterford Union High School.

In the challenge, Waterford Union High School claimed three of the four total awards presented, including best performance in the filling challenge, best Engineering Method/Most Innovative Filler Design and overall best in show, claiming total winnings of over $10,000.

Waterford Union was the only high school at the challenge with safety indications on their machine, highlighting the importance of safety and security in machinery and the packaging industry as a whole.

We want to extend a big congratulations to Michael, Zack, Jack, their instructor Mr. Kyle Rader and everyone over at Waterford Union High School for their commitment to innovation and their overall performance during the PACK challenge. Way to show up, lads!

Stay tuned for more on Waterford Union and their impressive victory during the PACK Challenge in a future newsletter.
